it contains a few new categories offers unique promotional tools for independent artists to market their music like never before. under the Get Heard Now tab you’ll find Playlist Spotlight and Wheel of Playlist In the Spotlight Voting Tab:
Pick your genre and hear an A/B comparison of 2 songs in that genre. Make a selection to add that song to the DistroKid Genre Specific Spotify Playlist.If you really like the song, you can also DM the Artist.and of corse, You can choose one of your tracks to add the vote. Select a 30 sec clip to feature for the vote and If chosen your track will be featured in one of DistoKid’s genre Spotify PlaylistsYou can also get your fans to vote for your song via a shareable link.
Wheel of Playlist:
– Choose a song
– spin the wheel 3 times
– the best spin will be your song’s position on the DistroKid Wheel of Playlist.
Your song will remain in that position until someone else spins the same number which will knock your song off the playlist until you spin again.

Select your release instantly generate dozens of mockups to promote your release on social media. There are plenty of great looking styles to choose from that can be downloaded with a single click.
DistroKid offers several options on the new Enhance Your Music tab.
In addition to submitting your lyrics you can now add Synced Lyrics. This is the feature that makes your lyrics sync up perfectly with the song as it plays, karaoke style.
Every DistroKid artist can easily create synced lyrics by uploading their lyrics and pressing space to trigger each line of the lyrics. The Synced lyrics are a great feature to add a simple lyric video to your playback. DistroKid increases the chance your song will be found the Google by allowing your lyrics to show up in search results and other online services.
The last tool is probably my favourite and that’s Spotify Canvas. Thru your Spotify for Artists page, DistroKid artists are able to upload a 3-8 second video that will loop throughout the play thru of your song. Very cool feature that will make your Spotify release really pop!
