Tired of being a slave to the rhythm? Looking to experiment with a different groove, but feel constrained by a sample’s existing meter?

Layering percussion sounds can provide a fuller impact, but being limited by your samples sucks. We want to have more control over the elements within our mix.

Last week, I had a student ask me about removing drums from a sample he was using for a remix. He wanted to be able to remove the drum hits completely to be able to sculpt the intensity to his desire.

It was such an excellent question that I made a video about how you can achieve this in a very quick and simple manner using the principal of Phase Cancelation.

In this video, you will learn a simple way to remove the drum transients from a sample to make room for your own drum sounds.
