Recording the Acoustic guitar can present more difficulties than micing up a speaker cabinet. Some engineers choose to do some heavy EQing instead of spending a little extra time getting the perfect tone right from the start. It’s important to realize how the position and distance of the microphone relative to the instrument can provide a plethora of sonic options.
