XLR Microphone Cable DIY Project – Part 3&4 – Soldering and Testing

.In the 3rd video of the XLR Microphone cable DIY series, Gary Cable shows you how to solder the wire ends into the XLR terminals. Then, Gary explains how to test your cable to make sure it works correctly and without any shorts.

In the previous step, Gary explains the importance of tinning the wire ends in preparation for soldering.

But before you can tin or solder, you must first choose the correct cable. In the first video in this DIY XLR Cable series, Gary explains the difference between working with twisted shielded Mogami cable, and Woven Shielded Canare cable
